Second day: Shallacancha – Ishupata - Soraypampa
2.
After breakfast, we’ll walk along the Huaytac mountain to go to the Soraypampa valley.
Along the way, we may benefit from beautiful views in which the valley and 3 snow-peaked
mountains are blended:
Salkantay (6,264 meters high), Humantay (5,473 meters high)
and
Tucarhuay (5,450m).

This part of the trek is not really difficult whereas the other days are harder....
1.
First day:  Cusco - Mollepata - Silcakancha
Early in the morning, we leave Cusi Wasi by private bus to go to
Mollepata (2,800 meters high) crossing some beautiful
landscapes and some indigenous villages.
There, our trek begins
and we´ll start our long walk to
Shalla Cancha (3,500 meters
high) which offers beautiful views.
In June and July, it is possible to find snow at this altitude,
presenting some wonderful sights.
We camp at Shalla Cancha.
Salkantay, one of the most beautiful peruvian Inka Trails, combines both cultural and a natural attractions. You will
appreciate archaeological rests spread out between snow-peaked mountains, breathtaking valleys and wonderful
landscapes.

descending the high

we´ll visit the
Lluscamayo community in where we’ll camp for the night.
4.
Fourth day: Lluscamayo - Intihuatana - Aguas Calientes
This day we will begin our walk early to go to Aguas Calientes. We’ll leave the
Lluscamayo valley while admire wonderful mountains views before joining the jungle
which surrounds
Machu Picchu. In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at Aguas Calientes
(2,050 meters high).
As you will see, the wildlife is really different; after mountain landscapes, the jungle in
that area offers another sort of views which you will enjoy.
5.
Fifth day: ascent to Machu Picchu
After walking for an hour and a half, we will enjoy the tranquility
of the lost city of the
Incas in a guided tour, after which you may
discover the citadel yourself.
We advice you to climb the Wayna
Picchu to have the best view above the citadel (the go round
might be between 40 and 90 minutes, it depends how fast you
walk).
The best is to go before 1 pm because only 400 persons
can join it per day.
In the afternoon, depending on when our train
leaves, we’ll go down to
Aguas Calientes for lunch (it
isn’t included because we'll find many kind of
