The first day at 6:30 in the morning we’ll take a private bus from Cusi Wasi to reach the top of the Málaga Pass at 4,350m above sea level. The ride takes some 4 hours and passes through beautiful places such as Chincheros in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas and other picturesque villages. From the top of the pass we'll commence the marvellous down-hill ride of 5 hours by mountain bike. The bikes are new and well-maintained and fall-helmets are provided. During the route and if your speed allows it, enjoy the changes in landscape and flora and fauna as you go down: from the cold highland "Puna" to the ridge of the Amazon basin with its plantations of coffee, bananas, coca and citrus fruits. We arrive in the little town of Santa María at approx. 17:00 where we'll spend the night.
As we enter deeper into the jungle, hopefully some of the many fantastic bird species display their beauty and sounds. Remember that these parts of the world, the ridges of the Amazon basin, have the richest biodiversity of the planet. After a lunch in the little village of Kellomayo, we'll head to the warm water springs for a swim in the relaxing and healthy waters, set in an enchanting natural ambiance. The night is spent in the nearby village of Santa Teresa.

The second day starts early; at 06:00 (after a delicious breakfast) we'll start the walk along the banks of the fabled Vilcanota river, passing foot-bridges and later travelling down true Inka Trails.

The third day starts with another delicious breakfast. This time the trek is along little rivers and lakes. From the dense green of the forest, enigmatic sounds and smells remind us of the unique and wondrous place we find ourselves in. The last part of the trek is along the railroad to Machu Picchu. From the sporadic trains passing by, we may be greeted by its passengers. Just like us they are pilgrims to a once-in-a-life-time destination. But unlike us, they haven't traversed all the wonderful places we have seen. And the best is yet to come!

After a night's rest in Aguas Calientes, the tourist village at the foot of the hill on which Machu Picchu lies, we leave early in the morning for a one and a halve hour walk up to the famous citadel. Here, the guide will give a three hour tour of all the spectacular places with its fantastic views and stories, although in our age now no one will ever be able to decipher the mysteries in which this lost city is still enshrined. For those brave enough to climb the steep hill of Huayna Picchu, a spectacular view awaits them, overlooking all of Machu Picchu. In any case, you will long remember this day, and probably each of these four unforgettable days.

In the afternoon you'll take the train back to Ollantaytambo and from there a tourist bus to Cusco, where we'll arrive at around 20:00. Your bed in Cusi Wasi awaits you for a well-deserved night's sleep.
